Me – Kali Harmen

Hi, this is a little bit of my background to help you get to know me better. I’ve had extensive experience as a personal trainer and helping people to lose weight. The uniqueness in my service is being able to combine exercise knowledge with the latest nutritional sciences. This enables me to deliver effective personalised programmes to help you achieve your health and fitness goals. 

I developed a huge passion for helping my clients reach higher standards for their health, and soon begun to realise this was not a one sided process. Mind and body needed to be integrated to make transformational change. 

This led me to study many different disciplines seeking out schools aligned with my own philosophies and values. I now have qualifications spanning from a degree in Nutritional Science to being a certified Co-Active Life Coach. 

I love to teach what I’ve learnt, and also have a wealth of personal experience to draw from. I didn’t always have a good level of health or fitness, in fact quite the contrary. I used to be a chain smoker, often drunk alcohol to excess, was out of control with food, refused to exercise and did pretty much all the other things not conducive to healthy living. 

This is why I know first-hand what is takes to make life changes, and can empathise and support you on your journey.  What got me to change my own life was reaching a tipping point. I had become sick and tired of living the way I was so I made the decision to change. I feel truly blessed to be alive today and want to help you strive towards more optimal health.

Dip. Nutritional Therapy

This is specific training to allow the therapist to work with those that have chronic health conditions as well as people who just want to improve their health. Nutritional Therapists aim to restore nutritional and biochemical imbalances in the body with use of dietary and supplementary nutrients.

BSc Nutrition Science

Nutritional Science integrates a systems biology and functional nutrition approach to understanding health and illness, together with the research approaches necessary to support public health and personalised nutrition interventions.

Level 3 Reps Registered Personal Trainer

The qualification allows me to support clients to take part in exercise and physical activity. Designing and delivering personal programs for clients.

The highest level of coaching qualification, proving a top standard of performance achieved by only 1% of qualified CTI (The Coaches Training Institute) coaches. It is proven that having accountability to a coach is by far the best way to ensure that you stick to your personal resolve, whether it’s to achieve challenging goals, enhance performance, gain clarity and focus or and add new skills. There’s just something about having to report your actions to your coach that will encourage you to take responsibility for them rather than make excuses.

This is not a scientific theory; it is a set of guiding principles, attitudes and beliefs about real life behaviour that are based on how the mind works. People often fail to achieve their goals because they hold self-limiting beliefs on how things should or shouldn’t be done. NLP does not talk about failure; we just try another way until we find the right way for you to enable you to achieve your true potential. It is a very flexible process that is focused on the results, not how you get there.
